About Us

Our mission is to help improve and maintain your health by working closely with you and your practitioner to provide unique solutions to your medical needs. The art of compounding has been around since the dawn of medicine. Today we use FDA approved ingredients combined in our state-of-the-art compounding laboratory with the latest technologies to formulate medications that are specifically designed for you.

We make a wide variety of dosage forms such as creams, ointments, gels, lotions and sprays for topical application. We can formulate capsules for both immediate release or extended release making the effects of your medication last longer. We make suppositories and creams for vaginal and rectal use when needed.

Often we can put your medication in a special transdermal cream or gel that will allow it to be absorbed through the skin to the exact area where you need it, thus avoiding the gastrointestinal tract and helping to reduce some of the complications of oral consumption. We even make sterile injectable drugs and ophthalmic preparations that are not commercially available.

Our specialty is Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) for men and women. For over nine years we have been compounding, consulting (for patients and practitioners) as well as saliva testing for BHRT. Come see the difference experience makes in how good you look and feel.

Lakeview Pharmacy P.C., trading as Lakeview Compounding Pharmacy and Nutritional Center, has been in business since 1993. We were originally located in Suffolk, Virginia for almost 14 years. We moved our only location to Virginia Beach, VA. in January of 2007.

We began our business as a traditional retail pharmacy specializing in compounding. In October 2006 we sold our traditional prescription business and switched to "compounding-only". We are the only privately owned "compounding-only" facility in Hamptom Roads.

With ever-increasing regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy,   in particular compounding, we strive to stay abreast of the changes   and in compliance with all USP guidelines. We continuously update   our standard operating procedures and practices to be compliant with   all expectations of good pharmacy practice. The practice of pharmacy   in Virginia is regulated by the Commonwealth of Virginia Health Regulatory Board, particularly the Board of Pharmacy.

Routine inspections are performed by the Board. Records are kept in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the State. A log is kept   of all compounded medications, listing the ingredients, lot numbers, quantities and expiration dates, along with each step taken to prepare the medication. That medication's proper storage conditions, discard  after date, and reference for this information are also recorded.

We pride ourselves on accuracy. We perform quality control measures  to insure that our final product is properly compounded. Each  prescription is checked by both a certified pharmacy technician and a  registered pharmacist before it is dispensed. A quality compounded  medication is what you want; it is what will improve your quality of life!

See the difference that experience and accuracy make in your health!
